The Big Reggae Festival

Since 1995, the Big Reggae Festival has been held at the Pinède Gould in Juan-les-Pins, a magical place on the Côte d'Azur and offers, at each edition, the best reggae scene of the moment.

Tairo: He continues the fight of his father who, because of his revolutionary ideas, was imprisoned for four years in Morocco and then exiled to Paris. From his mother, he inherited the taste for the French language and the revelation of his vocation by listening to one of his records: Kaya by Bob Marley. His career took off when Akhenaton recruited him for the BO of Taxi 2 and exploded in the ears of the greatest number with «she wants» extract from dis the hour of Ragga. Since then, TAÏRO has been one of the spearheads of French reggae that mobilizes a large audience away from the mainstream media.

Lidiop: Between Lidiop and music, the story wasn’t really written in advance. A high-level sportsman, he is almost twenty years old when he dares to brave the family ban and buys a guitar, which he hides under his bed «An old man from the neighborhood showed me three chords and then I managed on my own,» he says. It was only thanks to a TV show in which he participated in the late 2000s that his father discovered his taste for music.

Ky-Mani Marley: Ky-Mani Marley is rocked by eclectic influences, ranging from RnB to hip-hop. He stands out from his brothers Ziggy and Julian who kept the spirit a little more Roots in their albums. An accomplished singer and musician, Ky-Mani has also developed acting skills by playing in several films and in a series where he plays his own role.
